These bangles are from the second half of the 20th century, and most are made of Lucite, hard plastic, or resin. To learn more about vintage non-Bakelite plastic bangles, I recommend "Plastic Bangles" by Lyn Tortoriello and Deborah Lyons ( 2005, Schiffer Books).
